You Had Me for a Night, Then Turned Away

You had me for a night, then turned away,
Inspiring a love you didn't want.
I was a fairy you might unenchant
To show yourself that you could have your way.

And now I'm left with all the shame of love
That unashamed took pleasure in your joy.
You used me as a fake, erotic toy,
Not caring much what I was thinking of.

The worst is that I long for your caress.
I know you're just annoyed, which drives me mad!
But knowing how completely I've been had
Does not, alas, make me want you less.

What I heard on NPR

What I heard on NPR this morning is that Romney would repcest Israel's unilateral action against Iran. This shaves it very close to supporting such a move and it's also close to criticizing our foreign policy. Would a President Romney involve us in another war as he encourages Israel to show how tough he is? More annoying was his pandering to the Jerusalem-is-Israel's capital issue. Jerusalem may very well end up as Israel's internationally recognized capital in some deal, a compromise where it is shared. NO way Jose otherwise. And giving such an opinion gives energy to those who don't feel a deal is needed anytime soon. Romney shows too how well he can undermine that end at the same time as undermining our present foreign policy as he panders to the extreme right and the evangelicals here.I think at the wall he was probably wishing for what heis trying to purchase-- the American presidency.
