To lose Thee

To lose thee, sweeter than to gain
All other hearts I knew.
'Tis true the drought is destitute
But, then, I had the dew!

The Caspian has its realms of sand,
Its other realm of sea.
Without this sterile perquisite
No Caspian could be.
Emily Dickinson

Happy Birthday Farmer Fred! Don't know you well, but I know God must have made you to fulfill a wodenrful purpose in life- raising an amazing daughter, Kirsti! Kirsti has been such a blessing to our family and our daughters (ages 3 and 1) by providing tender care as one of our babysitters. They adore "Miss Kirsti" (my roots are southern, so that's how my children address grownups :) It is obvious from her kind, calm presence and her faith that shines through in all that she does that she has been "raised right". On this day, as you celebrate this past year and focus on the hopes for years to come, I want you to know how much your good works in life, especially as a father, have positively affected so many! Through Kirsti (and my new Facebook friend, Katie), you and Mrs. Farmer Fred have been such a blessing! Enjoy your special day!Sarah Wilson, Jamestown :)
